Description

The empirical formula of diisononyl phthalate (DINP) is C26H42O4. The structural formula of DINP varies because the iso-alcohols used in the manufacture contain several isomers. DINP is a clear, colorless to light yellow liquid. DINP is insoluble in water, but it is soluble in organic solvents.

DINP is an excellent general-purpose, non-toxic main plasticizer, mainly used for polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride copolymer, acid cellulose, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber. This product has good compatibility with PVC, low volatility, low mobility, high plasticization efficiency, better performance than DOP, and has excellent heat resistance, light resistance, aging resistance and electrical insulation. It is widely used in toy films, wires and cables.
