1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidineethanol Use and Manufacturing
Take 5 g of Intermediate 2 obtained, add 50 mL of methanol, add 2.0 g of NaBH4, heat and reflux for 12 hours. When the reaction is complete, remove methanol under reduced pressure, add 50 mL of ethyl acetate (EA) and 50 mL of water, and isolate the organic solvent layer. The organic solvent layer is washed with brine, dried with a mortar, and the solvent is removed to obtain 3.5 g of desired compound 1-methyl-2- (2-hydroxyethyl) pyrrolidine in a liquid phase.
