Pharma Base India is planning to set up a new bulk drug unit at Plot no. N-35, MIDC Additional Ambernath, Thane, Maharashtra. The plant will manufacture Glucosamine Hydrochloride (60 MPTA) and Glucosamine Sulphate.2 KCI (84 MPTA). Total capacity of the plant shall be 144 MT/month. Chitin obtained from shells of prawn/shrimps/crabs etc. shall be attached to the steam boiler and HCL and crystallized to get Glucosamine Hydrochloride which shall be reacted with Potassium Sulphate to produce Glucosamine Sulphate.2 KCI. Stacks shall be attached to the steam boiler and HCL recovery plant to absorb gas fumes.
