PIIC was established in March 1992 with the aim of facilitating the participation of people in petrochemical industries. Attracting the capitals of people and utilizing them in the most profitable industries especially petrochemicals were at the top of its agenda. The company entered in Tehran stock exchange in 1994 and at present it is highly active with more than 50.000 shareholders and a registered capital of 1.820 billion Rials. Social security Investment Company (SSIC) and national petrochemical company (NPC) is the main shareholder of PIIC. Aiming to use the potential ability of private sector and state of the technology, PIIC intends to expand its activities and promote qualitatively and quantitatively.
