Dalian Chemphy Chemical Co., Ltd. (Chemphy) is a technology-based shareholding enterprise invested by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP, affiliated to Chinese Academy of Sciences), Dalian JinGang Group Co., Ltd. and other four companies and governmental agencies. Chemphy was established in 1999 and has been focusing its core businesses in R&D, contract/custom manufacturing, sales/marketing and technical support of pesticides, intermediates of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals, specialty fine chemicals such as plastic additives, water treatment chemicals and architectural coatings products etc. Contract/custom manufacturing is one of Chemphy's most central businesses currently. Chemphy works directly with the customers to apply all resources as appropriate to their specific needs to give them the best possible result and, in partnership with them, assist them to bring their products to market as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. Chemphy can help improve and optimize processes or develop new process technologies, and scale them up to commercial quantity in its facilities. Chemphy's kilo labs provide small scale samples to assure that we are fully compliant with customers' requirements on the way towards commercial scale quantities. Chemphy also devotes its ultimate attention to Safety, Health, and Environment issues and adheres to Responsible Care practices. Using DICP's technical support and its own R&D capability as its technology platform as well as its state-of-art manufacturing, QC and waste water treatment infrastructure as its production platform, Chemphy has become a leading source of specialty chemicals and intermediates for agrochemical, pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries. Not only has Chemphy earned its reputation as the quality and reliable chemical manufacturer and supplier in China, but also established the long term strategic partnerships with several major multinational chemical companies. Chemphy currently exports 70 percent of its products to foreign countries such as US, France, Japan, and Korea etc.. In July of 2003, Chemphy has reorganized its board of directors and management team. Several experienced and seasoned individuals with years of experience in R&D, sales/marketing and general management for international companies have joined Chemphy's new management team. While Continually keeping contract/custom manufacturing as its core business, the new management team is strategically directing its new focus on the development of Chemphy's own proprietary products.Meanwhile, Chemphy also continues to explore and increase its presence in China's domestic market with its own unique positions in the agrochemical and consumer products. Chemphy currently employs over 430 workers. It is conveniently located in Dalian Economy and Technology Development Zone, which is right next to the major sea port of China, the Dalian New Port (Dayaowan Port).
