Dyneon LLC, a subsidiary of 3M, is a leading chemical company specializing in fluoropolymer products. Founded in 1990 as a joint venture between 3M and Allied Signal, the company now operates globally with manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and Asia.
Dyneon's products are used in a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and electronics. The company's flagship product is PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), known for its high temperature and chemical resistance and low coefficient of friction, which is used in applications such as sealants, lubricants and electrical insulation.
In addition to PTFE, Dyneon also produces a range of PFA, FEP and ETFE for a variety of applications including aerospace, automotive and electronics.
