Mitsubishi Chemical will build a 350,000-ton methyl methacrylate plant
Mitsubishi Chemical said recently that it has begun the design of a 350,000-ton / year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant on the US Gulf Coast. The factory is expected to start production in 2025.
Mitsubishi Chemical put into production a set of 120,000 tons / year alpha process technology MMA device in Singapore in 2008. In 2017, Saudi Mechanylates, a joint venture between Mitsubishi and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), launched a 250,000-ton / year MMA plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
