Multiple aspects promote the marketconcentration of glucosamine products
Glucosamine products are among the topproducts in the nutritional health food sales section of major e-commercecompanies. Currently, domestic production is mainly in the traditional way, obtained by hydrolysis of tributylic acid extracted from crab shells and shrimpshells, mainly through concentrated hydrochloric acid to break down the polymerto form glucosamine.
With the increasing aging population in oursociety, the demand for glucosamine continues to increase, and the productionusing the hydrolysis method of extraction will be limited by changes in thesupply of raw materials. In addition, products with raw materials derived fromshellfish can have a certain fishy taste and the high protein of shellfish isnot suitable for people with allergies, so the traditional process of producingglucosamine method can no longer meet people's needs. The microbial productionmethod is gaining more and more attention because of its advantages, and hasmade great progress. Although great breakthroughs have been made in theproduction of glucosamine by fermentation of recombinant E. coli, theGram-positive bacterium Bacillus subtilis, as a safer host bacterium, isexpected to replace E. coli as a high-yield engineered bacterium forglucosamine. And based on more advantages in safety, it is expected to be usedin food and pharmaceuticals on a large scale.
Although the market demand ofglucosamine-based health food is constantly released, but the problems thatrestrict the development of China's glucosamine market still need to be solved, the industry suggested that the strengthening of research institutions andmanufacturers to join forces to form a strategic alliance; strengthen themarket research and project evaluation before the establishment of the project, the relevant departments must strengthen the domestic and international marketdemand, supply capacity, technical level, research and development dynamics ofthis new industry At present, more than 40 clinical pharmacology experimentalbases and several bioengineering pilot bases have been established in China, but they are far from satisfying the current demand for industrialization;strengthen the training and introduction of talents, the distinctive feature ofthe knowledge-based economy lies in the large demand for specialized andhigh-quality talents, and amino-glucose, as a typical high-tech knowledge-basedindustry, is also an important part of the development of the new industry. This is also true for glucosamine as a typical high-tech knowledge-basedindustry.
