European Coatings Show 2023:  At long last, international dialogue among experts in Nuremberg again

From 28 to 30 March 2023, the coatings community will reunite at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg for the European Coatings Show. Finally, the trade fair will once again provide a platform for industry stakeholders for whom making business contacts, face-to-face encounters and networking are indispensable. Whether their focus is on paints, printing inks, laboratory, production testing or measuring equipment, adhesives or construction chemicals, trade visitors can look forward to specialised suppliers from all around the world and a very extensive range of products. With more than 140 presentations, the semi-parallel European Coatings Show Conference on 27 and 28 March offers intensive knowledge transfer. Pre-conference tutorials are an effective way of preparing for the conference.

The European Coatings Show will occupy a total of eight exhibition halls, six of which will be dedicated to raw materials for paints, printing inks and adhesives, construction chemical precursors, and associated services. Hall 4 will put the spotlight on laboratory and production technology, testing and measuring systems, application technology, environmental protection and occupational safety. Hall 4 A combines exhibitors from all product segments.

Knowledge transfer at the European Coatings Show Conference

As the gathering place for the coatings industry, the European Coatings Show Conference presents ground-breaking trends. It’s where the crème de la crème will find out about the latest formulations, process and equipment technology and reap the benefits of exchanging experiences with like-minded professionals. The European Coatings Show Conference 2023 will provide plenty of input about key topical issues like the shortage of raw materials and rising raw material costs. One session is devoted to the results of an international research partnership funded by the EU. The Decoat Project is developing a solution to facilitate the use of textiles and plastic components with (multilayer) coatings according to the closed loop recycling principle.

In 2023, high-calibre speakers will once again offer interesting insights into a wide range of topics. The opening keynote will be by Wijnand Bruinsma from Akzo Nobel on the topic: “The role of paints and coatings in a sustainable future.”

The nine pre-conference tutorials on the Sunday, 26th March – conducted by renowned experts – will quickly bring newcomers to the field up to speed with the state-of-the-art and offer a good preparation for actively participating in the subsequent conference.

European Coatings Show Conference Award

The Call for Papers for the European Coatings Show ended in September 2022. The best conference submission will be acknowledged with the European Coatings Show Award in 2023.

After-work reception provides great networking opportunity

Following an intensive first day at the European Coatings Show Conference, the after-work reception offers additional scope for personal dialogue. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants can chat to the speakers and build up their network with other experts from the coatings industry.

Product presentations deliver expert knowledge

In more than 140 product presentations combined into 24 sessions, exhibitors will share their expertise on using their raw materials and laboratory, production, testing and measuring technology. The presentation stages in Halls 3, 3A and 5 will therefore be a drawcard for trade visitors seeking fast access to concise information on the latest developments.

Start-up Area in Hall 2

The Start-up Area in Hall 2 allows start-ups and youngcompanies from Germany and other countries to present their companies and product innovations to the professional audience at the European Coatings Show at reduced rates. Additional start-up presentations in the exhibitor forum in Hall 3 provide further insights into the sector’s start-up scene.
