Sheboygan Paint Company Acquires Bradley Coatings Group
Sheboygan Paint Company, a family-owned, Wisconsin-based manufacturer of liquid industrial coatings, announces the acquisition of Bradley Coatings Group from United Paint & Chemical Corporation. Sheboygan Paint Company is a fifth-generation family-owned business founded in 1921. Founded in 1946 and acquired by United Paint & Chemical Corporation in 2017, Bradley Coatings Group provides coatings to more than 100 customers in North America for a variety of end uses in the transportation and general industrial metals sectors. The acquisition will be effective July 24, 2024. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“Bradley Coatings is an excellent choice that will complement our comprehensive product line, providing our customers with more options in waterborne, solvent and radiation-curing technologies,” said Paul Krueger, President and CEO of Sheboygan Paint Company. "Bradley's focus and growth in the transportation sector aligns well with our strategic vision. They have developed and maintained a loyal customer base through exceptional customer service and highly customized formulations. We look forward to continuing to build on these relationships through the combined company's expanded product portfolio."
"On behalf of the family and the Board, I believe Bradley Coatings is an excellent addition to the business and another example of our commitment to continuing the great tradition of Sheboygan Paint Company," said Jay Brownrigg, Chairman of the Board.
"After seven years of successful reinvestment and growth, United Paint & Chemical Corporation concluded that Bradley Coatings customers needed a broader product portfolio and greater geographic coverage. Sheboygan Paint Company provides that combination," said Geoff Piceu, owner of United. "Sheboygan Paint Company's commitment to personalized service and new technology, along with the flexibility and values of a family-owned business, will ensure Bradley Coatings can reach new heights. Following an orderly manufacturing transition, this divestiture will allow United Paint to focus its energy and resources entirely on coatings for thermoplastic substrates."
Sheboygan Paint Company and Bradley Coatings will collaborate to ensure a successful transition for customers in the coming months, with production to be moved to Sheboygan Paint Company's facilities in Wisconsin and Georgia
