Announcement of Electric Coal Situation in Henan Unified Power Plant in March

According to the statistics of information submitted by electric power enterprises, the total coal intake of Henan Unified Power Plant in March was 8.6611 million tons, an increase of 552.8 million tons, an increase of 6.82% and a decrease of 5.63% compared with the previous month, according to the Henan Supervisory Office of the State Energy Administration.

In March, the average daily coal consumption was 279.4 million tons; the total coal consumption for power generation was 8.088 million tons, which was 1.84 million tons less than that of last month, with a decrease of 18.24%, a decrease of 6.88%, and an average daily coal consumption of 268 million tons (a decrease of 1.537 billion kilowatt-hours from last month); the average daily coal storage in the month was 5.454 million tons, of which the maximum coal stock was 5.848 million tons and the minimum coal stock was 5.147 million tons.

Henan electric coal can be divided into two categories according to its different sources. In March, 59 provincial power plants in Henan Province purchased 8.6611 million tons of electric coal. Coal in Henan Province occupied a leading position in the electric coal market. The total monthly purchased volume was 5.2569 million tons, accounting for 60.70%, and 34.042 million tons of coal in other provinces, accounting for 39.30%. Among them, Zheng coal, Ping coal and Yi coal accounted for 63.98% of the total coal in the province, and local mines in the province accounted for 27.19%.

In March, 34.042 million tons of coal were purchased from other provinces. Coal outside the province mainly comes from Shanxi and Shaanxi, accounting for 65.86% and 26.38% respectively.
