ECHEMI 2022-04-13

Since the beginning of 2020, affected by the epidemic, the global people's life section slowed down, the long home isolation time to social life brought about a huge change. The current hot topics of concern, mapping the post-epidemic era of thinking, the public is eager to use a more diverse, more ecological colour, light up a new world.

Understanding consumers' needs for colour in the home, D&V has released its 2022 colour trends, which are both contemporary and forward-looking and hold the promise of a brighter future.

In collaboration with the Institute for Trend Research (ITT) of the Hildesheim University of Applied Sciences, the D&V Colour Institute has launched the trend colour of the year 2022 - Smoky Pink - inspired by the crane. Smoky Pink is a loving, illusory and sensual colour that symbolises hope, happiness and positivity.

The colour is inspired by the 'crane', which in Eastern aesthetics is poetic, faithful and beautiful. In Greece as well as in Russia and Japan, the crane also has different auspicious meanings. From charcoal black, to dune beige, to this year's smoky pink, every year D'AIWA interior paints are looking for a new and interesting angle to interpret and define the new year for consumers.

Colour Palette of the Year - a colourful expression of style

D&W interior paints not only introduce the annual trend colours, but also provide colour matching suggestions for different home styles to meet the needs of different consumers:

  1) Jumping colours collide with individuality

For those who want to create a personalised look, D'AIWA interior paints offer nine colour combinations that are jumpy but also extremely harmonious. This "clash of colours" is a combination that highlights the individuality and artistic sense of the inhabitant and is a great way to pursue a stylish home.

  2) Light and dark, creating visual highlights

The use of smoky pink with grey colours, with bright colours to temper the darkness, can give the space a visual highlight and invariably expand the sense of space. This palette of colours creates a warm, tranquil space with soft colours and is very easy on the eyes.

Highly saturated colours combined with darker tones to create a technological feel

The combination of highly saturated gradient colours with a darker background creates a strong visual impact and gives the home a youthful and vibrant feel.

Every year, many consumers are captivated by the trending colours of D'AIWA interior paints. This year's Smokey Pink is believed to be the "hot colour" of the year, leading the way for new colour trends in the home.

It is worth mentioning that D&W interior paints use CapaMix, a self-invented automatic paint mixing device with a database of over 8 million colour formulas, plus the use of Capatint, a self-coloured paste, to ensure "zero colour difference". "On the ground, every customer can live in their dream home!
