The liquefaction capacity of LNG in the United States will account for 40%

According to GasWorld on September 17, Global Data data shows that by 2023, the newly built small LNG liquefaction capacity in the United States will account for 40% of the world's new production capacity. Global Data report shows that by 2023, the liquefaction capacity of liquefied natural gas planned and announced by the United States may reach 67.6 million tons per year.

It is expected that by 2023, 20 small LNG receiving stations will be built in the United States. Among them, the throughput of Browntown and Browntown II terminals is high, and the throughput of each terminal is 2120 kpta. It is expected that the Browntown terminal will be put into operation in 2020 and the Browntown II terminal will be put into operation in 2021. By 2023, China had added 3810 KTPA of liquefaction capacity of small LNG, ranking second in the world. By 2023, Russia's new LNG liquefaction capacity will increase by 3160 kPa, ranking third in the world. It is expected that China will add eight planned small liquefied natural gas terminals in the outlook period.
