Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia
Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) refers to an abnormal heart rhythm consisting of more than three consecutive atrial premature beats or premature atrioventricular junctional beats. It is more common in young people without organic heart disease or patients with rheumatic heart disease, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy and hyperthyroidism. It is characterized by the sudden onset and cessation of tachycardia. In mild cases, patients may feel panic and chest tightness. In severe cases, patients may experience dizziness or even loss of consciousness due to hemodynamic disorders.
