Hemolytic anemia
Hemolytic anemia refers to a type of anemia that occurs when the destruction of red blood cells is accelerated and the hematopoietic function of the bone marrow is insufficient to compensate. If the bone marrow can increase the production of red blood cells to compensate for the shortened life span of red blood cells, anemia will not occur. This state is called compensated hemolytic disease. Many diseases such as chronic anemia, renal anemia, folic acid, vitamin B12 deficiency, and even iron deficiency anemia will cause excessive destruction of red blood cells, but hemolytic anemia refers to excessive and rapid destruction of red blood cells as the main factor leading to anemia.
