Neurosis, also known as neurosis and psychosis, is a group of non-psychotic functional disorders. Its common characteristics are: it is a group of psychogenic disorders, personality factors and psychosocial factors are the main factors causing the disease, but it is not a stress disorder. It is a group of functional disorders, and the nature of the disorder is functional and non-organic; it has both mental and physical symptoms; it has a certain personality trait basis but is not a personality disorder; each subtype has its characteristic clinical phase; neurosis is reversible, and it worsens when there is external pressure, and vice versa, the symptoms are alleviated or disappear; social function is relatively good, and self-control is sufficient. Neurosis is a common disease with a very high prevalence rate. WHO estimates based on data from various countries and surveys: 5% to 8% of the population has neurosis or personality disorders, which is 5 times that of severe mental illness. The prevalence rate in Western countries is 10‰ to 20‰, and in my country it is 13‰ to 22‰. Neurosis is also one of the most common diseases in outpatient clinics.
