Spinal tuberculosis
Spinal tuberculosis is caused by vertebral lesions due to circulatory disorders and tuberculosis infection. The affected spine shows bone destruction and necrosis, caseous changes and abscess formation. The vertebral body collapses due to lesions and load-bearing, causing the spine to form a curvature, protruding spinous processes, and a hump deformity on the back, which is particularly obvious in thoracic tuberculosis.
