Gouty arthritis
Gouty arthritis is caused by the deposition of urate in the joint capsule, bursa, cartilage, bone and other tissues, which causes lesions and inflammatory reactions. It is mostly caused by genetic and familial factors. It is more common in men over 40 years old, and is more common in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. It can also occur in other larger joints, especially the ankle and foot joints. The main manifestation is severe pain in the joints, which often occurs suddenly and unilaterally. The tissues around the joints have obvious swelling, fever, redness and tenderness. A blood uric acid test can confirm the diagnosis. Drug treatment has a good effect.
