Reiter's syndrome in children
Reiters syndrome (RS) has three clinical characteristics: urethritis, conjunctivitis, and arthritis, so it is also called urethra, eye, and joint syndrome. Infection and genetic factors are related to the onset of this disease. Reiters syndrome in children is relatively rare. In 1916, a Prussian officer developed arthritis, conjunctivitis, and urethritis after 8 days of abdominal pain and bloody stools. After a few days, the symptoms were alleviated, and urethritis and uveitis recurred 3 weeks later. Dr. Wright recorded this process, and the disease was named after him, and it was called Reiters syndrome.
