Neonatal gastric perforation is a rare acute abdomen in pediatric surgery. According to literature reports, the incidence rate in blacks is higher than that in whites. It usually occurs 2 to 7 days after birth, and the mortality rate is very high. In recent years, due to the development of neonatal surgery and anesthesia technology, the rational use of antibiotics and supportive therapy, the mortality rate has dropped significantly. The postoperative survival rate is directly related to the weight of the child and timely diagnosis. Romas reported that the survival rate of patients who underwent surgery within 12 hours of gastric perforation was 45%, and the survival rate was 25% after 12 hours. This shows the importance of early diagnosis and surgical treatment.
