Urethral stricture
Urethral stricture refers to a urination disorder caused by abnormal narrowing of the mechanical lumen at any part of the urethra, which increases the resistance in the urethra. It is more common in men. According to the cause, urethral stricture can be divided into three categories: congenital urethral stricture, inflammatory urethral stricture, and traumatic urethral stricture. Because the hyperplastic fibrous tissue replaces the normal urethral sponge and forms scars, the urethra and its surrounding tissues contract, thus causing urethral stricture.
