Senile purpura
Senile purpura is a chronic skin purpura and small hematomas that occur in the elderly. The older you are, the greater the chance of developing the disease. This may be due to the reduction of collagen in small blood vessels, accompanied by a decrease in subcutaneous fat and elastic fibers, which increases the fragility of blood vessels when pressure increases. Some people also classify it as mechanical purpura.
