Endometriosis refers to the abnormal growth of endometrial tissue with growth vitality outside the uterine cavity. Under normal circumstances, the endometrium covers the surface of the uterine cavity. If, due to some factors, the endometrium grows in other parts of the body, it can become endometriosis. It can occur in any part of the body, but the vast majority of lesions are confined to the pelvic cavity. The pathological state caused by the endometrial tissue leaving the uterus and invading the rectum is called rectal endometriosis. The disease grows slowly and spreads easily.
