Other possible endocrine effects include changes in the menstrual cycle and amenorrhea. Cyclic bleeding and ovulation can resume 60 to 90 days after discontinuation of the drug, but persistent amenorrhea is occasionally reported. Hot flushes, sweating, vaginal dryness, irritation, and breast reduction reflect a decrease in estrogen. Mental and emotional disturbances have been reported.
