Ovarian pregnancy
Ovarian pregnancy refers to the implantation, growth and development of a fertilized egg in the ovary, which will inevitably rupture and cause internal bleeding. It is a rare ectopic pregnancy. Ovarian pregnancy develops rapidly, has no specific symptoms and signs, and threatens the patient's life. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy has increased significantly in recent years. However, there are also reports in the literature that patients survived to full-term pregnancy and finally gave birth to full-term live babies. Ovarian pregnancy is divided into two categories: primary and secondary. Primary ovarian pregnancy (also known as intrafollicular) is believed to be caused by fertilization in the early corpus luteum due to failure of ovulation of the follicle; secondary ones are mostly formed by implantation on the surface of the ovary secondary to early tubal pregnancy abortion.
