Pulmonary tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease of the respiratory system caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Its pathological characteristics are tuberculous nodules, caseous necrosis and cavity formation. Its clinical manifestations include low fever, night sweats, fatigue and weight loss. Pregnancy complicated by pulmonary tuberculosis is a high-risk pregnancy, with an incidence of about 5%-7%. Although it has become less common in developed countries in recent years, it is not uncommon in developing countries. Before the advent of anti-tuberculosis drugs, tuberculosis had adverse effects on pregnant women, fetuses and infants. However, since the 1970s, due to the development of anti-tuberculosis drugs, it can be effective for pregnant women with pulmonary tuberculosis, so that pregnancy complicated by pulmonary tuberculosis is no longer a serious problem.
