Hyphema is relatively common in clinical research. It most often occurs in eye contusions and intraocular surgery, and spontaneous bleeding is very rare. In many cases, a small amount of hyphema does not cause serious damage, but when there is a large amount of bleeding, its complications and accompanying lesions can have serious consequences for visual function, and timely and correct treatment is very necessary. Bleeding-related glaucoma includes hyphema, ghost cell glaucoma, hemolytic glaucoma and hemosiderin glaucoma, among which hyphema is the most common. Other rare spontaneous hyphema include secondary glaucoma caused by intraocular tumors, neovascular glaucoma, ocular cholesterol deposition disease and sickle cell disease.
