Pilocarpine Nitrate Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product has a direct excitatory effect on smooth muscles and various glands, especially on salivary glands and sweat glands. It directly stimulates the M cholinergic receptors, causing the iris sphincter to contract, the pupil to shrink, and the ciliary muscle to contract, resulting in a decrease in the resistance to regulating the discharge of aqueous humor, thus reducing the intraocular pressure of glaucoma.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is pilocarpine nitrate.

This product combined with laprostaglandin can reduce the amount of aqueous humor outflow through the uveal sclera and reduce the intraocular pressure lowering effect. 3. Combination with topical anticholinergics will interfere with the intraocular pressure lowering effect of this product. Combination with an appropriate amount of systemic anticholinergics usually does not affect the intraocular pressure lowering effect of this product because the concentration of systemic drugs reaching the eye is very low.
