Epidermoid cyst of vulva
Epidermoid cysts of the vulva are most common in the labia majora and perineum, and occur in the deep tissue under the epidermis of the vulvar skin or mucosa. The cysts can be single or multiple. However, they are often misdiagnosed as sebaceous cysts. In fact, sebaceous cysts of the vulva are rare, and most of them are epidermal cysts, which contain keratin. Epidermoid cysts of the vulva are more common vulvar cysts, mostly occurring in middle-aged women. They grow slowly and generally have no special symptoms.
