Acute pericarditis
Acute pericarditis is a syndrome caused by acute inflammation of the visceral and parietal layers of the pericardium. Clinical features include chest pain, pericardial friction rubs, and a series of abnormal electrocardiogram changes. The clinical manifestations of acute pericarditis are insidious and easily missed. There are many causes of acute pericarditis, which can come from pericardial diseases themselves or be part of systemic diseases. Clinically, tuberculosis, nonspecific, and tumor-related causes are more common. Systemic diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and uremia are prone to involve the pericardium and cause pericarditis.
