Radial and ulnar styloid fractures
This disease is rare. When falling, the palm of the hand lands on the ground, and the impact force acts on the lower end of the radius through the scaphoid bone, causing a transverse fracture of the radial styloid process. There are also cases of direct impact, such as the backlash of a car crank. In addition, the wrist joint is strongly ulnar-deflected, and the radial collateral ligament is strongly pulled, causing an avulsion fracture of the radial styloid process. The fracture fragment is small and displaced distally. Ulnar styloid fractures are often related to ligament traction, often accompanied by Colles fractures, and there are also single fractures.
