Orbital abscess
Orbital abscess is an inflammatory reaction. Necrotic tissue and purulent bacteria accumulate in the orbital fat to form an abscess. Most abscesses are located inside the muscle cone, and a few are located outside the cone. The inflammatory reaction of the abscess and surrounding tissues causes serious damage to the orbit and eye structures.
