Infants and young children under 2 years old are at the highest risk of invasive diseases. 3. The use of this vaccine should take into account the differences in the serotypes of pneumococcal diseases caused by different regions and the impact of invasive diseases on different age groups. This vaccine does not prevent infections caused by other types of pneumococci other than the serotypes included in the vaccine, nor does it prevent invasive infections caused by other microorganisms.

It is used for asymptomatic carriers of Neisseria meningitidis to eliminate Neisseria meningitidis in the nasopharynx; but it is not suitable for the treatment of Neisseria meningitidis infections.
