Asthenia refers to a disease caused by long-term liver disease, dysfunction of liver, spleen and kidney, qi stagnation, blood stasis and water retention in the abdomen, with abdominal distension like a drum, pale yellow skin and exposed veins as the main clinical manifestations. This disease is also called single abdominal distension, ascites, spider poison in ancient medical books. Asthenia is a common disease in clinical practice. Doctors in successive dynasties attached great importance to the prevention and treatment of this disease, and listed it as one of the four stubborn syndromes of "wind, tuberculosis, asthenia and diaphragm", indicating that this disease is a serious clinical syndrome and is difficult to treat.
