It is characterized by diffuse swelling and pain, normal skin color, and is prone to occur deep in the thick muscles of the limbs and trunk, and there is a characteristic that if this place is not healed, it will occur elsewhere. It is equivalent to sepsis and deep muscle abscesses in Western medicine. This disease has many names due to different causes and conditions. For example, it is called summer-heat and dampness flow when it occurs between summer and autumn; it is called residual poison flow when it is caused by furuncle or furuncle; it is called blood stasis flow when it is caused by postpartum lochia stagnation or fall injury; it is called iliac fossa flow when it only occurs in the iliac fossa. However, its pathogenesis, syndrome and treatment are basically similar, so they are described together.
