Pigmented villonodular synovitis
Pigmented villonodular synovitis is relatively rare and has two types: villous and nodular. Most patients are young and middle-aged men. The age is mostly between 20 and 40 years old. This disease is more likely to occur in the knee and ankle joints, followed by the hip, intertarsal, wrist, elbow and other joints, and occasionally in the bursa and tendon sheath.
