Mebendazole

It can inhibit the intestinal parasites from taking up glucose, leading to the depletion of glycogen in the worms and reducing the formation of adenosine triphosphate in the worms. However, it does not affect the glucose level in the host's blood. Ultrastructural observation showed that mebendazole caused the degeneration of microtubules in the cytoplasm of the worm's membrane cells and intestinal cells, resulting in the accumulation of Golgi endocrine granules. This caused transport blockage, cytoplasmic dissolution, and complete degeneration of absorptive cells, leading to the death of the worms. Mebendazole has the effect of completely killing hookworm eggs and whipworm eggs and partially killing ascarid eggs. In vitro tests have shown that 5 mg/L can inhibit the development of hookworm larvae.

Levamisole hydrochloride

It can selectively inhibit succinate dehydrogenase in the muscles of the worm, so that fumaric acid cannot be reduced to succinic acid, thereby affecting the anaerobic metabolism of the muscles of the worm and reducing energy production. In addition, the drug may have an inhibitory effect on the microtubule structure of the worm. Levamisole also has immune regulation and immune stimulation functions.

Ephedrine hydrochloride

It can directly stimulate adrenaline receptors, and can also indirectly stimulate adrenaline receptors by prompting adrenaline nerve endings to release norepinephrine. It has a stimulating effect on both alpha and beta receptors. It can dilate bronchi and constrict local blood vessels, and its action time is longer; it strengthens myocardial contractility, increases cardiac output, and makes venous return to the heart sufficient; it has a stronger central nervous system stimulating effect than adrenaline.

Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride

It has ① antihistamine effect, which can compete with histamine released from tissues for H1 receptors on effector cells, thereby stopping allergic reactions; ② at the same time, it inhibits central nervous system activity and causes sedative and hypnotic effects; ③ it enhances the effect of antitussive drugs.
