Metabolized in the liver, the original drug and the intermediate metabolite have cytotoxic effects, acting on the DNA of anaerobic bacteria, amoeba, giardia and trichomonas cells, breaking their helical structure or blocking their transcription and replication, causing their death, achieving the purpose of antibacterial and anti-biomass. It has no mutagenic, teratogenic, or carcinogenic properties, and has no adverse interactions with alcohol. It has no inhibitory effect on sperm activity during medication, and it recovers naturally after stopping the medication.
