This drug has the characteristics of both Class II and Class III antiarrhythmic drugs. It is a non-cardioselective beta-receptor blocker without intrinsic sympathomimetic activity. It has a β1β2 receptor blocking effect, and can prolong the myocardial action potential, effective refractory period and QT interval, inhibit the conduction time of the sinoatrial node and atrioventricular node, and prolong the conduction of the atrioventricular bypass. The electrocardiogram shows a prolonged P-R interval, a slightly widened QRS duration, and a significantly prolonged QT interval. This drug has a mild positive inotropic effect, which may be due to the prolonged action potential, increased calcium influx time, and increased intracytoplasmic calcium.
