Function and Efficacy
The bactericidal ability of coal phenol soap solution is similar to that of phenol, and its carbolic acid coefficient varies with the ingredients and bacteria, ranging from 1.6 to 5. A solution containing 0.6% to 1% of this product can kill most pathogens in 10 minutes, and killing spores requires a higher concentration and a longer time. The main bactericidal component of this disinfectant is cresol, and the three isomers have similar bactericidal effects. Its carbolic acid coefficient is between 2.0 and 2.7, and oral administration can cause death.

Appearance
This product is a yellow-brown to reddish-brown transparent liquid with an aromatic odor. This product can be mixed with ethanol to form a clear liquid.
Indication
This product is used for disinfection of equipment, environment and treatment of excrement.
Usage and Dosage
Generally, 1% to 2% solution is used for hand disinfection, and 5% to 10% solution is used for equipment, environment disinfection and excrement treatment.
Adverse Reactions
1. There are reports of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. It has been confirmed that this drug is lethal to infants. 2. Inadvertent ingestion of this drug can cause extensive local tissue corrosion, pain, sweating, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, and may cause short-term excitement, followed by loss of consciousness, central nervous system depression, circulatory and respiratory failure, pulmonary edema, liver and kidney necrosis and functional failure. There are also reports of death.
Precautions
(1) Children with diaper dermatitis and infants under 6 months old. (2) When there are wounds on the skin.
