Usage and Dosage

Generally, 0.5% tropicamide and 0.5% phenylephrine hydrochloride mixed eye drops are commonly used in clinical practice. Mydriasis examination: This product is dripped into the conjunctival sac, 1 drop at a time, and the second drop is dripped after an interval of 5 minutes. This product begins to dilate the pupil 5 to 10 minutes after eye drops, and the pupil is dilated to the maximum in 15 to 20 minutes. After about an hour and a half, the pupil begins to shrink, and the pupil returns to the level before the drop of the drug in 5 to 10 hours. 2. Refractive examination: Use this product to drip into the eye once every 5 minutes, for 4 consecutive drops, and a refractive examination can be performed after 20 minutes. Considering the existence of residual accommodation, it is not suitable for mydriasis optometry for children under 12 years old.
