Function and Efficacy
This product has the effect of endopeptidase, which cuts the peptide chain of protein macromolecules into peptides with smaller molecular weight, or acts on the end of the peptide chain of protein molecules to separate amino acids. This product also has the effect of lipase, which hydrolyzes certain fats. Therefore, it can digest pus, blood accumulation, necrotic tissue, and play a role in wound purification, anti-inflammatory and swelling. In addition, it can relax the ciliary ligament and dissolve the protein structure of certain tissues in the eye.

Indication
It is a proteolytic enzyme that has the function of decomposing peptide chains. It can clean suppurative wounds, dissolve pus and necrotic tissue, promote the growth of granulation tissue, and selectively loosen the ciliary ligament. It can be used in combination with antibiotics and sulfonamides to treat various inflammations, ulcers, abscesses, hematomas, empyema, otitis media, and cataract removal.
Usage and Dosage
Before use, dissolve it with sodium chloride injection and then use it. Intramuscular injection: 4,000 units once, 800 units once, and then flush the remaining product in the anterior and posterior chambers with sodium chloride injection after 3 minutes.
Adverse Reactions
When chymotrypsin injection is used in ophthalmology, it may cause transient increase in intraocular pressure, uveitis, corneal edema, slow wound healing, and pain, redness and swelling at the injection site.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for patients with severe liver disease and abnormal blood coagulation function, patients under the age of 20 with eye diseases, or patients with traumatic cataracts with unstable vitreous humor.
