Nicergoline for injection
Function and Efficacy
This product is a semi-synthetic ergot alkaloid derivative. It has α receptor blocking and vasodilation effects. It can enhance the metabolism of brain cell energy and increase the utilization of oxygen and glucose. It can promote the conversion of neurotransmitter dopamine to enhance nerve conduction, strengthen brain protein biosynthesis, and improve brain function. Toxicity tests failed to show that nicergoline has teratogenic effects.

Appearance
This product is white or off-white loose mass or powder.
Indication
1. Improve the low will and emotional disorders caused by the sequelae of cerebral infarction (slow sensation, lack of concentration, memory loss, lack of ideas, depression, anxiety, etc.). 2. Acute and chronic peripheral circulatory disorders (limb vascular occlusive disease, Raynaud's syndrome, other symptoms of poor peripheral circulation).
Usage and Dosage
Intramuscular injection: 2-4 mg each time, twice a day. Intravenous drip: 4-8 mg each time, dissolved in 100 ml of normal saline or glucose injection and slowly dripped, 1-2 times a day. Arterial injection: 4 mg each time, dissolved in 10 ml of normal saline and slowly injected (2 minutes).
Adverse Reactions
No serious adverse reactions have been reported. There may be hypotension, dizziness, stomach pain, hot flashes, facial flushing, drowsiness, insomnia, etc. In clinical trials, an increase in uric acid concentration in the blood was observed, but this phenomenon was not related to the dosage and administration time.
Precautions
This product is contraindicated in the following cases: those who are allergic to nicergoline, recent myocardial infarction, acute bleeding, hypotension, severe bradycardia, orthostatic regulation dysfunction, and bleeding tendency.
Drug Interactions
Nicergoline tablets may enhance the effects of antihypertensive drugs. Since nicergoline is metabolized by CYTP4502D6, interactions with drugs that are metabolized by the same pathway cannot be ruled out.
