Acetylglutamine injection

After passing through the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, acetylglutamine is decomposed into glutamate and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Glutamate is involved in the information transmission of the central nervous system. GABA can antagonize the excitotoxic effects of glutamate, improve nerve cell metabolism, maintain nerve stress resistance, reduce the effect of blood ammonia, and improve brain function.

It is used for coma caused by brain trauma, coma caused by neurosurgery, hepatic coma, hemiplegia, high paraplegia, sequelae of polio, neuralgia and low back pain, etc.

Intramuscular injection or intravenous drip, 100-600 mg per day. For intravenous drip, dilute with 250 ml of 5% or 10% glucose injection and drip slowly. The dose for children should be reduced accordingly.
