Appearance

This product is white crystal or crystalline powder.

Indication

Used for fever and mild to moderate pain.

Usage and Dosage

For intramuscular or intravenous injection, dissolve in 4 ml of water for injection or 0.9% sodium chloride injection and inject. (1) Adults: 0.9-1.8 g at a time, twice a day. (2) Children: 10-25 mg/kg per day, divided into 2 doses.

Adverse Reactions

1. Gastrointestinal reactions: Short-term use has fewer adverse reactions, and occasionally there are mild gastrointestinal reactions (such as stomach discomfort, nausea, and vomiting). When the dosage is large, severe cases may cause gastrointestinal bleeding. Long-term use has a high incidence of peptic ulcers. 2. Effects on the blood system: This product antagonizes the effect of vitamin K, inhibits the synthesis of prothrombin, and prolongs bleeding time. Vitamin K can be used for prevention and treatment. Long-term use can inhibit platelet aggregation and cause bleeding tendency. 3. Effects on liver and kidney function: Long-term use of this product may cause elevated transaminase, liver cell necrosis and kidney damage, which can be restored by stopping the drug in time. 4. Salicylic acid reaction: Manifestations include headache, dizziness, tinnitus, visual and auditory impairment, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe cases have mental disorders, rapid breathing, acid-base imbalance and bleeding, and even shock. 5. Allergic reactions: A small number of patients experience allergic reactions such as rash, urticaria, asthma, angioedema or mucosal congestion after taking the drug. Asthma is more common, and it often occurs in middle-aged people over 30 years old. After taking the medicine for a few minutes, they will have difficulty breathing and wheezing, which is called "aspirin asthma". In severe cases, it can be life-threatening. 6. Reye's Syndrome: Children under 12 years old may develop Reye's Syndrome when using this product, which is manifested by short-term fever and other symptoms similar to acute infection, convulsions, frequent vomiting, increased intracranial pressure and coma. Although this situation is rare, it is life-threatening.

Precautions

It should not be used in the following situations: active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding caused by other reasons; hemophilia or thrombocytopenia; those with a history of allergy to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, especially those with asthma, angioedema or shock.

Drug Interactions

(1) When used together with any drug that can cause hypoprothrombinemia, thrombocytopenia, decreased platelet aggregation function or bleeding from gastrointestinal ulcers, there is a risk of aggravating coagulation disorders and causing bleeding. (2) When used together with anticoagulants (dicoumarol, heparin, etc.) and thrombolytic drugs (streptokinase, urokinase), the risk of bleeding may be increased. (3) Urine alkalinizing drugs (sodium bicarbonate, etc.) and antacids (long-term and large-scale use) can increase the excretion of this product in the urine and reduce the blood concentration. However, when the blood concentration of this product has reached a stable state and the alkaline drug is discontinued, the blood concentration of this product may rise to a toxic level. Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors can alkalinize urine, but can cause metabolic acidosis, which can not only reduce the blood concentration, but also increase the amount of this product that penetrates into the brain tissue, thereby increasing toxic reactions. (4) Uric acidifying drugs can reduce the excretion of this product and increase its blood concentration. The addition of uricosuric drugs to patients whose blood drug concentration of this product is already stable may lead to an increase in the blood drug concentration of this product and an increase in toxic reactions. (5) Glucocorticoids can increase the excretion of salicylates. In order to maintain the blood drug concentration of this product when used together, the dose of this product should be increased if necessary. Long-term use of this product with glucocorticoids, especially when used in large quantities, increases the risk of gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding. It is not recommended to use these two types of drugs at the same time. (6) The hypoglycemic effect of insulin or oral hypoglycemic drugs can be enhanced and accelerated by using this product together. (7) When used together with methotrexate, it can reduce the binding of methotrexate to proteins, reduce its excretion from the kidneys, increase blood drug concentrations and increase toxic reactions. (8) The uricosuric effect of probenecid or sulfinpyrazone can be reduced by using this product at the same time; when the blood concentration of salicylate is 50μg/ml, it is significantly reduced, and it is even worse when it is 100-150μg/ml. In addition, probenecid can reduce the clearance of salicylates from the kidneys, thereby increasing the latter's blood concentration.
