Function and Efficacy

Glycerol fructose injection is a hyperosmotic preparation that can reduce brain water content and intracranial pressure through hyperosmotic dehydration. This product has a slow onset and a longer duration of action in reducing intracranial pressure.

Indication

It is mainly used clinically for encephalopathy such as increased intracranial pressure, cerebral edema, cerebral thrombosis, intracerebral hemorrhage, as well as for reducing intracranial pressure and reducing eye volume during eye surgery.

Usage and Dosage

Intravenous drip: 500-1000ml each time, the maximum daily amount is 2000-3000ml, and the drip rate is 80-160 drops per minute.

Adverse Reactions

This product generally has no adverse reactions, but occasionally causes itching, rash, headache, nausea, thirst and hemolysis.

Precautions

1. Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance are prohibited from using this product. 2. Patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product are prohibited from using this product. 3. Patients with hypernatremia, anuria and severe dehydration are prohibited from using this product.
