Vindesine Sulfate for Injection

It is a cell cycle-specific antitumor drug that inhibits the polymerization of intracellular tubulin, prevents the formation of spindles in the mitosis of proliferating cells, and stops cell division at the metaphase of mitosis. This product has a broad antitumor spectrum for transplanted animal tumors and has no complete cross-resistance with vinblastine and vincristine.

It is effective against malignant tumors such as non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, malignant lymphoma, breast cancer, esophageal cancer and malignant melanoma.

The single medication is 3 mg/m2 each time, once a week, usually 3 times in a row as a cycle. It can be dissolved in normal saline and slowly injected intravenously, or dissolved in 5% glucose and slowly dripped intravenously (6 to 12 hours).

1 Bone marrow suppression: the most common is a decrease in white blood cells, followed by a decrease in platelets, which has a certain effect on hemoglobin. 2 Gastrointestinal reactions: mild loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. 3 Neurotoxicity: reversible peripheral neuritis is milder than that of vincristine, and may cause abdominal distension and constipation. 4 Reproductive toxicity and teratogenicity: pregnant women should not use it. 5 Local tissue irritation reaction: it can cause phlebitis, and leakage out of blood vessels and splashing into the eyes should be avoided.

It is contraindicated or should be used with caution in patients with impaired bone marrow function and severe infection.
