Albumin accounts for 52%-56% of the total plasma protein in healthy people. Its main function is to maintain normal colloidal osmotic pressure of plasma (accounting for 70%-80% of the total colloidal osmotic pressure of plasma). Intravenous infusion of this product can promote the entry of interstitial fluid into blood vessels. Plasma albumin has a high affinity for certain ions and compounds, and can reversibly bind to these substances to play a transport function. Albumin also provides the body with a large amount of amino acid reserves. This function of 50ml 20% human albumin is equivalent to 400ml whole blood.

This product is a slightly viscous, yellow or green to brown clear liquid.

1. Prevention and treatment of decreased circulating blood volume. 2. Emergency treatment of shock: such as hemorrhagic shock, infectious toxic shock, etc. 3. Used for early and late treatment of burns. 4. Treatment of hypoproteinemia and edema: such as hypoproteinemia caused by cirrhosis, hepatitis B, nephrotic syndrome, chronic nutritional deficiencies caused by esophageal, gastric, and intestinal diseases, postoperative nutritional therapy, and cerebral edema, etc.

This product is usually given by intravenous drip, or by slow intravenous push. The total dose varies from person to person. Adults: The total daily dose is equivalent to 25-75g of human albumin, and the average daily dose is 100-150 ml (20% human albumin). The recommended first infusion volume is 100 ml, and the maintenance dose is determined according to the clinical treatment situation. Children: The dosage must be determined according to the clinical situation and body weight, generally 1/4-1/2 of the adult dose, or given at 2-2.2 ml/kg body weight. The infusion rate is also controlled at 1/4-1/2 of the average daily dose of adults: 5-10 ml for newborns, 10-40 ml for infants, and 40-80 ml for children. When rescuing shock patients with massive blood loss, it is necessary to infuse quickly to improve the clinical condition and restore normal blood volume. If the first dose is insufficient, the infusion must be continued for 15-30 minutes.

Occasionally, allergic reactions may occur, with symptoms including fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, rash, diffuse erythema, tachycardia, and decreased blood pressure. If these reactions occur, the drug should be discontinued immediately and another batch of this product can be used if necessary. Rapid infusion can cause circulatory overload and lead to pulmonary edema.

1. Those who are severely allergic to albumin. 2. Patients with hypertension, acute heart disease, normal blood volume and hypervolemic heart failure. 3. Patients with severe anemia. 4. Patients with renal insufficiency.

This product should not be mixed with vasoconstrictors, proteolytic enzymes or injections containing alcoholic solvents.
