Lomefloxacin Aspartate and Glucose Injection

Function and Efficacy

Pharmacological action: Lomeza is a broad-spectrum quinolone antibacterial drug, which has bactericidal effects on Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and some anaerobic bacteria, and has good antibacterial effects on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, ampicillin-resistant influenza bacilli, pipemidic acid-resistant Escherichia coli and bacteria resistant to other drugs. Its antibacterial mechanism is to inhibit the activity of bacterial DNA helicase, thereby inhibiting bacterial DNA transcription and replication, and has bactericidal effects on a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Adverse Reactions

1. Patients who are allergic to this product or other quinolones are contraindicated. 2. Pregnant women, infants and patients under 18 years of age are contraindicated. 1. Abdominal discomfort or pain, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting. 2. Central nervous system reactions, dizziness, headache, drowsiness or insomnia may occur. 3. Allergic reactions, rash, skin itching, occasionally exudative erythema multiforme and angioneurotic edema. Among them, photosensitivity reactions are more common than other commonly used quinolones. 4. A small number of patients may experience increased serum aminotransferase and BUN values and decreased peripheral blood white blood cells, which are mostly mild and transient. 5. Occasionally, the following may occur: 1. Epileptic seizures, mental abnormalities, irritability, confusion, hallucinations, and tremors. 2. Manifestations of interstitial nephritis such as hematuria, fever, and rash. 3. Crystalluria, more common when used in high doses. 4. Joint pain. 5. Phlebitis.

Precautions

1. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product or other quinolone drugs; 2. It is contraindicated for pregnant women; 3. It is contraindicated for infants and patients under 18 years old.

Precautions for children: It is forbidden to use in infants and patients under 18 years old. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It is forbidden to use in pregnant women.

Drug Interactions

Theophylline: In clinical studies of long-term use of theophylline, lomefloxacin had no significant effect on theophylline concentration. Antacids and sucralfate: Antacids and sucralfate containing magnesium or aluminum, as well as preparations containing divalent and trivalent ions such as dideoxycreatinine, can form complexes with lomefloxacin and interfere with the bioavailability of lomefloxacin. Caffeine: 200 mg of caffeine was given to healthy volunteers who had reached steady-state lomefloxacin blood concentrations, which did not cause statistically significant differences, and did not cause changes in the pharmacokinetic parameters of caffeine and its major metabolites. Cimetidine: Cimetidine can interfere with the elimination of other quinolone drugs, resulting in an increase in half-life and AUC. The interaction between cimetidine and lomefloxacin has not been studied. Cyclosporine: The co-administration of cyclosporine with other quinolones can increase the serum concentration of cyclosporine. The interaction between cyclosporine and lomefloxacin has not been studied. Omeprazole: Administration of a single dose of lomefloxacin after multiple doses of omeprazole did not cause significant changes in the pharmacokinetic parameters of lomefloxacin (AUC, Cmax, tmax). No study was conducted on the pharmacokinetic changes of omeprazole. Phenytoin sodium: When phenytoin sodium extended-release capsules were co-administered with lomefloxacin for 5 days, no significant changes were observed in the pharmacokinetic parameters of phenytoin sodium, AUC, Cmax, Cmin, or tmax. Lomefloxacin may not have a significant effect on the metabolism of phenytoin. Terfenadine: In a steady-state study of 28 healthy men, the co-administration of terfenadine and lomefloxacin did not result in significant changes in heart rhythm or QT interval, terfenadine or lomefloxacin pharmacokinetics. Warfarin: Quinolones can enhance the effects of the anticoagulant warfarin or its derivatives. When these drugs are used together, the prothrombin time or other coagulation tests should be closely monitored. However, when warfarin and lomefloxacin were coadministered at steady-state, there was no significant change in the ratio of clotting times or the pharmacokinetics of warfarin enantiomers. Urine alkalinizing agents can reduce the solubility of this product in urine, leading to crystalluria and nephrotoxicity.
