Ramosetron Hydrochloride Injection

Pharmacological action 1. 5-HT3 receptor antagonism In the 5-hydroxytryptamine-induced guinea pig isolated colon contraction test and rat and ferret heart rate slowing reflex (Bezold-Jarisch reflex) test, this drug showed antagonism to 5-HT3 receptors. 2. Inhibition of vomiting induced by anti-malignant tumor drugs This drug showed an inhibitory effect on vomiting induced by cisplatin in ferrets when given before vomiting or after the initial vomiting. Anti-malignant tumor drugs such as cisplatin can free 5-hydroxytryptamine from chromaffin cells in the digestive tract. 5-hydroxytryptamine binds to the 5-HT3 receptors present in the gastrointestinal mucosa at the ends of the vagus nerve.

This product is a colorless clear liquid.

Prevent and treat gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting caused by anti-malignant tumor drug treatment.

Generally, adults are given 0.3 mg (1 vial) diluted with 5% or 10% glucose solution and saline for intravenous injection once a day. In addition, the dosage can be appropriately increased or decreased according to age and symptoms. If the effect is not obvious, the same dose can be given additionally, but the daily dosage should not exceed 0.6 mg (2 vials).

Adverse reactions occurred in 7 of the 352 cases (2.0%) that underwent safety evaluation before marketing. The main adverse reactions are fever, headache, and heaviness of the head. Severe adverse reactions: People who are allergic to this product may experience allergic-like symptoms such as chest tightness, dyspnea, wheezing, facial flushing, redness, itching, cyanosis, low blood pressure, and even shock. The incidence rate is not yet clear. In addition, there have been reports of epileptic seizures with the use of other 5-HT3 receptor antagonist antiemetics abroad. Other adverse reactions: less than 0.1% to 1% headache, heaviness of the head, diarrhea, body fever, fever in the head, and numbness of the tongue. Patients with a history of allergy to the ingredients of this drug are prohibited from using it;

This drug may react with mannitol injection, bumetanide injection, furosemide injection, etc., so do not use them together. However, it can be used by adding 200ml of normal saline to furosemide injection containing 20mg of furanilamide and mixing with one ampoule of this drug.

Protect from light and store at room temperature. The validity period is tentatively 24 months.
